This is where your story begins.
Engagement sessions are a relaxed, fun way to celebrate your connection and capture the love you share. With a warm, natural approach, I’ll document the real moments—laughter, quiet glances, and everything in between—so you have timeless images to remember this exciting chapter of your journey together.
Your session will include:

A relaxed, one-hour photo session at a location that’s special to you (or I can suggest a few favourites!)

Natural, easygoing direction so you feel comfortable in front of the camera

A beautiful online gallery of up to 20 professionally edited, high-resolution images

Optional support with outfit styling and planning so you feel confident and relaxed on the day

(Additional travel cost applies to photo shoots more than 30 minutes outside of central Hamilton)
What to Wear
Neutral colours are best. Try to avoid logos, bold stripes or images and bright colours. Your clothing doesn't have to match, but try to pick neutral tones that compliment each other. Consider the location and season - for example, lighter tones work best for a summer beach setting - pastel colours, cream, blush, tan, compared to an autumn location in amongst the trees or a grassy field, which would suit darker tones such as mustard, olive green and brown or rustic tones. Layering with a knitted jumper, scarf or hat can work well to add another dimension to your autumn/winter sessions. Be mindful of chunky watches and jewellery - sometimes these can take the focus away from the people, and try to select suitable footwear.
Locations
Your engagement session can take place anywhere that feels like you. Whether it’s a favourite local spot or somewhere new you’ve been wanting to explore together— the right setting helps you feel relaxed and makes your photos even more meaningful.
If you're stuck for ideas, I can suggest some great locations with beautiful lighting and stunning natural backdrops.
What to Expect
What to expect before, during, and after your shoot.
Pre-shoot
Before your photo shoot, we'll have a conversation to discuss how I can best capture your unique relationship. We'll go over location options and schedule a day and time that works for you.
On the Day
On the day of your photo shoot, we'll meet at the agreed time and location to get started. I'll provide gentle guidance on posing to help you look your best, but the focus will be on creating a relaxed atmosphere where you both feel confident and comfortable to express your love.
Afterwards
After your photo shoot, I will carefully select and edit the best images, ensuring they are delivered to you as high-resolution, fully edited digital photos. You will receive an email with a link to your password-protected online gallery, where you can view, download, and share your photos.
